Conan the Adventurer Season 1 Review

Image
Conan The Adventurer Now my knowledge on Conan is quite limited, but as I've stated before, this series deviates greatly from the novels. I can imagine that this series is what old school He-Man fans would say the “New Adventures of He-Man” should have been, but more on that later. So I don't know what I was expecting, but I must say that so far with Season 1, I am very pleased with what I see. Take everything you know about Conan and throw it away. Trust me, you'll enjoy the show so much more.  Conan the Adventurer follows the Cimmerian Conan, who has made it his duty to take down the bad guy who turned his mom, dad and grandfather to stone. The show begins with a 2-parter to give us a good taste of the tone of the overall show. Now let me just say that we are in a world of muscle men. I love that trope. Just about every male character could compete in a bodybuilding competition. Conan himself goes from Muscle teen to Muscle man in what seems

This is already a different Conan than we're used to. His character is more comparable to that of your typical Saturday Morning Cartoon meathead hero than the savage man in the books, movies and comics. I could see why a lot of Conan fans were turned off (But i'm not). Also note that Conan had a different voice actor in the sequel series, giving him more of a warm fatherly tone. I would probably prefer that Hasbro create a new Barbarian hero of their own, but they probably thought the license would sell on name alone. So anyway, here's a teaser of what's to come. This looks....suggestive. I was nervous that we wouldn't be getting any humiliation. But thankfully the show seems to deliver. It's fun to see a man who flaunts all of those muscles be brought down a peg. Poor Conan turns into a little boy when he sees that he can't just out-muscle the seasoned master.

And the Winner is.........

Ooh, he even saved a big black muscly man in the opening credits!!! This is exciting!!! So I have absolutely no history with this show. The series ran from 1992 to 1993 with a total of 65 episodes (39 of those are on DVD in the US). The series also had a toy-line from Hasbro (Clearly trying to ride off of the success of Masters of The Universe, but way too late). There was a sequel series called " Conan and the Young Warriors" which aired in 1994 and only lasted 13 episodes. But more on that at another time. How will future reviews work: I will be purchasing DVDs and ripping the clips from the episodes to make view-able clips online as well as gifs!!! I may upload them to YouTube as unlisted or private so they won't get taken down. I will go more in depth with the episodes and my feelings on the episode along with the characters (and of course, the muscle 😜) I didn't do that with She-Ra because I honestly was bored at the lack of good peril scenes

A little about me

Something that I have noticed about other guys who share the same interests in muscles as me is that I am a lot younger than them. At the time I am writing this blog I am 23. I find this interesting since my opinions can vary drastically to others due to me experiencing media differently and not growing up in the times that a lot of things were initially released. Unpopular Opinion: Steve Reeves is not even close to being my favorite Peplum Actor So to all my seasoned readers, enjoy this young guys fresh opinion!!!

What Series should I focus on next

I binge watched She-Ra last week (The first time I had seen the series) and as you know, I have given my two scents as far as how well it shows men in peril. It was OK , but nowhere near as kinky, bizarre and downright lewd as He-Man. Bow and other male She-Ra antagonists will be featured regularly in spotlight posts, but that's all you're gonna see here from She-Ra. So what Show should I cover next? Comment down below which show you most want to see reviewed. Poll Captain Planet (Season 1) Many Shows peaked my interest in Muscle Men (Dragon Ball Z, 200X He-Man) but I think Captain Planet really peaked my interest for heroes in peril.  Captain Planet and The Planeteers was a show about 5 diverse "kids" who were summoned together to basically fight people who damaged the earths ecosystem. Yes, it's one of those shows. They were granted power rings that gave them each an elemental ability (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Heart). When they combined their

She-Ra Overview

Some may find it weird that I'm talking about She-Ra before He-Man. Thing is, I knew I wouldn't like She-Ra as much so I started with that. So this website will be specifically discussing the fetish appeal of a show when it comes to muscles, men in peril and feats of strength. This is not a review of the overall quality of the show, although I may give an overall synopsis. She-Ra is the sequel series to He-Man. Giving a woman the spotlight, you would think that this would be "Totally Spies" of the 80s when it comes to fetish feul. Unfortunately for fans of females in peril and female ryona, that's not necessarily the case. She-Ra herself barely gets caught off guard and her binding scenes are few and far between. Usually when She-Ra does get caught, she frees herself without a struggle. You can tell that the animators at filmation aren't having as much fun animating women in peril as compared to men. The damsel in distress of the show is a purple haired
